The Vauxhall Grandland has been named ‘Medium Car of the Year’ at the latest Company Car & Van Awards, following strong praise from the judges for its practicality, equipment levels, and electrified range.
The Company Car & Van Awards recognise vehicles that deliver outstanding value, performance and practicality for business users.
The award celebrates the Grandland’s ability to meet the diverse needs of company car drivers and fleet operators, offering generous interior space, strong value and a choice of electrified powertrains that help support low running costs.
Andrew Walker, Company Car & Van Editor, said: “For customers looking for a practical SUV that comes well equipped, with enough space on board for five & their luggage, the Grandland offers this in spades. Furthermore, it’s priced right, and with a 400-mile range EV and a PHEV version, it also ticks the company car box. The car that surprised us the most last year is our Medium Car of the Year.”
The Vauxhall Grandland is a family-sized SUV that combines strong on-road presence with everyday practicality and advanced onboard technology. Available already with two fully-electric powertrains or as a hybrid, it offers generous interior space, advanced safety and connectivity features. A plug-in hybrid version will join the range from spring, along with a long-range electric version coming later in 2026.
Competitive pricing means the Grandland range starts from £35,455 OTR (including the Electric Car Grant) for the electric version, and £36,600 OTR for the equivalent hybrid. Its blend of value, versatility and electrified choice makes it a compelling option for both private and company car drivers.
Eurig Druce, Vauxhall Managing Director & Stellantis UK Group Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted that Grandland has been recognised as ‘Medium Car of the Year’. This award highlights the real appeal of Grandland for business users; it’s a well-equipped, spacious SUV with efficient electrified options that make it an ideal choice for company drivers and fleets alike.”
Vauxhall is leading the electrification of Britain, offering a fully electric version of every car and van in its line-up. Its entire electric car range is priced under £40,000, making electric mobility more accessible to UK customers.
The brand’s most affordable EV, the Frontera Electric family SUV, starts from £22,495 OTR (including the Electric Car Grant) and is priced lower than the equivalent hybrid model.
Through its Electric Streets of Britain campaign, Vauxhall is working with leading charging operators to expand access to on-street EV charging for the 40% of UK households without off-street parking*. A national database allows motorists to register demand for residential on-street chargers, with more than 12,000 streets already registered via electricstreets.co.uk.
