PEUGEOT AT THE FOREFRONT OF ELECTRIFICATION, MORE THAN DOUBLING ITS ELECTRIC SALES IN 2024

PEUGEOT has achieved significant growth in 2024, more than doubling its electric vehicle sales. PEUGEOT is at the forefront of electrification, with its electric vehicle market share outperforming its overall car and van market share.

2024 has been a strong year of sales for PEUGEOT, with significant year-on-year growth across both car and van sales. Year-to-date, PEUGEOT grew its combined vehicle sales volume by almost 9%, increasing to 96,208 units and placing the brand in the top 10 top-selling brands in the country in 2024. However, it is in the electric vehicle market where PEUGEOT is making its biggest gains, more than doubling its entire electric vehicle sales volume to 19,036 units, up from 8,689 units in 2023.

Impressively, PEUGEOT has more than doubled its electric car sales volume to just under 15,000 units, increasing its total electric car market share to 3.9% in 2024, while its share of the electric car and van market grew by 2.1% to an overall 4.7%. Furthermore, in 2024, PEUGEOT’s total car sales increased to 68,905 from 59,983 in 2023, increasing the brand’s total car market share to 3.5% in 2024.

PEUGEOT achieved an impressive overall car sales mix of 21.7% year-to-date, in part due to the successful launch of the new E-3008 and E-5008, as well as the continued strong performance from the E-208 and E-2008. The new E-3008 has seen particularly impressive sales since its launch in the Summer of 2024, continually being found in the top three best-sellers in class. Placing four places and over 1,700 units ahead of the new Renault Scenic in overall year-to-date sales, the new E-3008 ended the year in a commendable sixth place in the highly competitive electric mid-sized SUV segment. At the other end of the line-up, the new E-208 continues to demonstrate its popularity as the UK’s second-best-selling compact electric hatchback in 2024.

PEUGEOT is a leader in electrification and now offers an all-electric version of every model in its line-up following the introduction of the new E-408 to the range, making PEUGEOT the only European manufacturer to offer an all-electric line-up. The brand’s success in electrification is demonstrated by its electric vehicle market share outperforming its overall market share, 4.7% compared to 4.2% for combined car and van sales. With the introduction of the new E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range, PEUGEOT now also offers best-in-class ranges of up to 435 and 414 miles (WLTP) respectively.

As well as offering the most extensive electric vehicle line-up of any mainstream brand in Europe, PEUGEOT also provides its comprehensive Allure Care across its electric car range. PEUGEOT Allure Care covers the electric motor, onboard charger, transmission, and main electrical and mechanical components for up to eight years or 100,000 miles, making PEUGEOT the first European manufacturer to offer such generous peace of mind coverage.

Eurig Druce, Managing Director, PEUGEOT UK, said: “2024 has been a momentous year for PEUGEOT, and firmly signifies the brand’s position as leaders in electrification. More than doubling our electric vehicle sales volume and exceeding our 2024 ZEV mandate target is testament to our position at the forefront of the UK’s electric vehicle market. We offer the widest range of electric vehicles of any mainstream European brand, as well as providing our eight-year Allure Care cover, to keep up this momentous growth and pursue our electric leadership ambition.”
