Keeping It in the Family: Harry Smith Joins as Apprentice Technician

We’re proud to announce the appointment of Harry Smith as a new Apprentice Technician, marking a special moment for our business as we continue to grow our team while staying true to our family values.

Harry joins us following the creation of a new opportunity within our workshop, and in doing so, continues a proud family connection to the business. His dad, Chris Smith, has been a valued member of our team for over 34 years and currently leads our busy parts department as Parts Manager,

While the family connection is something we’re proud of, Harry’s appointment is very much on his own merit. Since joining the team, he has already made a fantastic impression with his enthusiasm, work ethic, and commitment to learning, and is proving to be a great addition to our workshop.

As part of his development, Harry will begin training as a Peugeot Technician and will follow the Stellantis Performance Academy programme, supporting his journey as he develops his skills alongside our experienced team of manufacturer-trained technicians.

"I’m incredibly proud to see my son join the business and start his career at Taylors. I’ve spent 34 years working with a great team, and to now see Harry begin his own journey is very special. I’m excited to see where his career takes him."
Chris Smith

Welcoming Harry to the team reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in people, developing future talent, and maintaining the strong family-business values that have shaped who we are today.

We’re delighted to have Harry on board and look forward to supporting him as he takes his first steps in the motor industry.
