VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Taylors Peugeot, Ford & Citroen, Ashton Hall Drive, Boston
Hours: 8.15am-5.15pm Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings on a rota basis (currently 1 in 3)
Salary: £34,500 (dependent on experience)

Due to continued investment in our workshop facilities, we are looking to recruit a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician to join our busy and growing team at Taylors Peugeot, Boston.

We operate a highly successful Service Department representing Peugeot, Ford, and Citroën, and thanks to the dedication of our team, we are now enjoying an exciting period of growth and expansion.

About the role:

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be carrying out a wide range of workshop activities, including servicing, diagnostics, repairs, recalls, and warranty work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Conducting diagnostic checks and identifying faults accurately
  • Working to minimum rectification levels and expected efficiencies
  • Performing warranty and recall work in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
  • Contributing to the smooth running of the workshop as part of a supportive team

About you:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Level 3 IMI or equivalent qualification (essential)
  • Ideally experienced (at least 1 year in a technician role preferred)
  • An MOT Tester (advantageous but not essential)
  • Organised, efficient, and able to work to manufacturer timescales and quality standards
  • Confident in diagnostic and repair work, with excellent attention to detail
  • Willing to undertake ongoing training to keep up to date with new technologies, including EVs
  • A team player who can contribute to our strong family-run culture and long-standing, low-turnover team
