SALES MANAGER
Location: Taylors Select, Wainfleet Road, Skegness
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm Saturday (5-day working week with a weekday off)
Salary: Competitive + bonus
Due to continued growth within the business, we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to lead and support our small, dedicated sales team at Taylors Select in Skegness.
About the role:
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in used car sales who is ready to take the next step into management, or already managing and looking for a fresh challenge in a supportive, family-run environment. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the sales operation, both on the forecourt and online, while driving performance and maintaining high standards across the team.
- Managing and motivating a small team to achieve targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Overseeing vehicle sales from enquiry through to handover, ensuring a smooth customer journey
- Managing used car stock, including pricing, presentation, and online listings
- Monitoring performance metrics and implementing strategies to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensuring the forecourt is well-presented, organised, and aligned with company standards
- Supporting the team with deal structuring, finance proposals, and closing sales
- Working closely with the admin and workshop teams to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround
- Maintaining compliance with all sales processes, FCA regulations, and company procedures
- Identifying opportunities to grow the business and improve profitability
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in used car sales, with a strong understanding of both online and forecourt retailing
- Confident in leading, motivating, and developing a team
- Target-driven with a proactive and results-focused approach
- Commercially aware, with a good eye for stock selection and pricing
- A strong communicator who can build relationships with both customers and colleagues
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using dealer management systems and online sales platforms
- A natural leader who leads by example and thrives in a hands-on role
Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred, but we will consider strong senior sales executives ready to step up.
