ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER

Location: Taylors Select, Wainfleet Road, Skegness
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm Saturday (5-day working week with a weekday off)
Salary: Competitive + bonus

Due to continued growth within the business, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Sales Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy used car operation at Taylors Select in Skegness.

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive looking to step up, or someone already in a supervisory role who wants to develop their management skills. You’ll support the Sales Manager while remaining hands-on in the sales process, helping to drive performance and ensure our stock is presented at its very best both online and on the forecourt.

  • Supporting the Dealer Principal in the daily running of the sales department
  • Assisting in managing and motivating the sales team to achieve targets
  • Selling used vehicles and delivering an excellent customer experience from enquiry to handover
  • Taking responsibility for vehicle presentation, including ensuring all stock is photographed to a high standard
  • Managing online listings to ensure vehicles are accurately advertised and up to date across all platforms
  • Maintaining the physical forecourt, ensuring it is well-presented, organised, and retail-ready at all times
  • Assisting with stock control, pricing, and vehicle merchandising
  • Supporting with deal structuring, finance proposals, and closing sales when required
  • Working closely with workshop teams to ensure vehicles are prepared and ready on time
  • Ensuring all processes are compliant with company standards and FCA regulations

About you:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in used car sales, with a good understanding of both online and forecourt retailing
  • Ready to take the next step into management or already in a junior leadership role
  • Driven, enthusiastic, and target-focused
  • Organised with strong attention to detail, particularly around vehicle presentation and advertising
  • Confident using IT systems, including dealer management and online sales platforms
  • A strong communicator who works well with both customers and colleagues
  • Hands-on and proactive, leading by example on the sales floor
  • A team player who is keen to support and develop others

Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred, but we will consider strong senior sales executives ready to step up.
