The Butterfly Hospice Trust Boston
As part of our Taylors Group Charities 2020 work, we were pleased to be able to support The Butterfly Hospice Trust through the donation of an all-new Peugeot 208 car.
The Butterfly Hospice Trust are a Boston based hospice. The Trust offers support to local people requiring hospice care and they specialise in dealing with the physical and emotional effects of life limiting illnesses such as terminal cancer, by providing patients with respite, symptom control or end of life care.
Taylors had planned to get involved and support the hospice throughout the year, but unfortunately the Covid-19 outbreak forced us to put many of these planned activities on hold.
We had team members lined up for a charity skydive and John Garnham our Sales Manager at Taylors of Boston, was ready to don a sparkly outfit and compete in the trust’s ‘Lincolnshire Strictly’ event!
It was a huge disappointment to the all the staff at Taylors, and The Butterfly Hospice Trust, when this had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, all was not lost for us and we were able to provide the trust with an all-new Peugeot 208 to help keep their volunteers mobile and their charity shops stocked.

“For our charity to have the support of local business such as Taylors is always extremely heartening” and went on to add that the gesture was “above and beyond” what the hospice could have expected at this time.
Bridget added “We appreciate that many businesses, as with charities, are feeling the might of coronavirus, so our gratitude extends to Taylors most sincerely. We are delighted with the design work and look forward to be spotted out about in Boston and across the south of the county of Lincolnshire.”
Bridget MacPherson, the Chief Executive Officer of The Butterfly Hospice Trust
Or special thanks must also go to Hutsons Signmakers and Engravers of Boston, for kindly donating the graphics for the all-new Peugeot 208 that we supplied to The Butterfly Trust. We all agree that the car looks great.
The Butterfly Hospice is a fantastic and worthy cause, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the team that work there. And at Taylors, we all feel is a charity that is close to the hearts of many of our customers and staff.
The team at Taylors are very proud to be able to offer support with all that the trust continues to do in the local community. We certainly look forward to working with them in the future and hope the car is a useful addition to helping them continue their good work.
If you wish to donate any spare change you may have to the Butterfly Trust, collection boxes can be found in our showrooms at:
All contributions will be greatly appreciated and all the money goes to directly to the hospice.
£825.00 for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust
Also as part of the Taylors Group Charities 2020 work, we are pleased to announce that, with your generous help, we have raised a fantastic £825.00 for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT)!
When it was announced that the country would be going into lockdown back in November 2020, we felt it was very important to help keep our customers moving, but in a manner that was as safely as possible.
We decided that both our service and parts departments would remain open for vehicle servicing and repairs as an essential service. Giving that many of our customers live in rural areas. Where many bus routes had either been suspended or were running less frequently, making their cars their only means of transport.
The Taylors Group Charities 2020 donation to the Pilgrim Hospital was also featured in the local press by the Boston Standard.
To this end we took the decision to operate a click and collect service to those who still wanted to buy a used car for sale, a new car for sale or take on a new Motability car.
In addition to this new click and collect service, we decided that throughout this period, for every car sold we would donate £25.00 from each sale to the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.
We can all appreciate the hard work and dedication that our NHS staff have given, not just during the pandemic, but all throughout the year. We felt that this gesture is the perfect way to show our gratitude to them all.
Given that this is a service we have never offered before, we were unsure as to how many vehicles we would sell remotely, and therefore if it would generate much money for the ULHT.
We have had a great working relationship with the hospital for many years, having provided them with hundreds of new fleet cars and vans to keep the NHS team moving.
"We are extremely grateful for the consistently excellent support Taylors provide to our Fleet Team and essential car users and this is a very thoughtful gesture by the Taylors Group.”
David Everitt, Fleet Manager for ULHT
Most recently we delivered a fleet of new Ford cars to the trust as seen in the pictures here.
We hope this cash donation goes towards thanking all the NHS for their efforts during these unprecedented times.
The team at Taylors would like to thank all our customers for their continued support with the Taylors Group Charities 2020 throughout 2020 and into 2021.
During the current national lockdown we would like to remind you that we remain open for service and repairs, MOT and click and collect car sales. You may also browse through our collection of quality used cars for sale.
