SERVICE MANAGER
Location: Taylors Vauxhall, Boston
Hours: 8am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £50,000 OTE
We’re seeking an experienced Service Manager with a proven track record of leading and inspiring a successful service department. At Taylors, we believe success comes from building strong relationships, not from the high-pressure initiatives often found in large PLCs. As a family-run business with an established service department, we’re seeking someone who can motivate and nurture our team while also identifying new opportunities to further enhance our already excellent customer service and workshop performance.
About the role:
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and profitable running of the service department. You’ll combine strong leadership with a genuine focus on people – ensuring both customers and staff feel valued. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving profitability while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
- Monitoring workshop efficiency, productivity, and quality of work
- Managing budgets, costs, and performance figures in line with business objectives
- Enhancing CSI scores through strong customer relationships and consistent service standards
- Leading, motivating, and developing the service team to achieve targets and deliver excellent customer care
- Working with Vauxhall to maintain brand excellence and compliance
About you:
You will be:
- An experienced Service or Aftersales Manager (2 years dealership experience preferred)
- Commercially aware, with the ability to manage performance against financial and operational targets
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences
- A natural leader, able to inspire, motivate, and support your team
- Highly organised and confident managing a busy, fast-paced department
